Our 2 day Colour in the Landscape Workshop with Ashley Hanson on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th March was a great success. A mixture of professional artists, students and people getting back into their practice attended the workshop. The group focused on making the transition from observational drawing in the landscape, exploring methods of abstracting the subject matter to create work in oils and acrylics, investigating colour, mark making and line. In the final critique it was fasinating to compare the different approaches to the same subject matter. Everyone came away from the workshop equipped to further inform their practice. We will be running further workshops with Ashley later in the year please get in contact if you are interested.
